Since 2014 the BMW Club members have strongly patronised the Gascoyne Race weekend.

The event can be accessed by bitumen via Carnarvon or well formed gravel road through Murchison Settlement.

Admission for the three days (Friday Saturday and Sunday) is $30 which includes camping.

The main race day is Saturday.

The Gascoyne Junction Race Club website is http://www.junctionraces.com/.

Some riders have camped at the Kennedy Ranges just north of Gascoyne Junction as part of the ride.

There is a lot of information on the Forum of past rides http://forum.bmwmccwa.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1962 and http://forum.bmwmccwa.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2450 and http://forum.bmwmccwa.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2447 and http://forum.bmwmccwa.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2186 .

Who,s going
I have just returned from a week at coral bay ,work related driving a bus for a dive club
The recent rains through the area should produce a abundance of wild flowers ,a
Lot of rain was dumped ,should be a good show of wild flowers that normal,y don't show
I'm planning the inland route On the dirt to Gascogne junction ,on through the Kennedy ranges ,and onto the nw costal hwy ,to exmouth or the gulf ,coral bay ,Warra ,Gnarloo Carnarvon etc
May do a day trip at Coral bay skin diving on a charter boat ,managed to do the manta ray tour with the dive club at coral bay ,unbelievable ,let me know if any one is interested
Not sure of the tracks north of Gascoyne ,but to Gascoyne was GS friendly by all accounts ,can always divert after Gascoyne and meet up at coral bay or what ever if any one is keen
So who's going and how far

It seems that I have unfinished business in different parts of Australia which includes the Gascoyne Races and the Kennedy Ranges (the road was washed out to the Ranges when I was there last)....I plan to be at the Races after the OCR.
So much to do; so little time. :P

Yep. On my old skool Africa Twin. Departure date, time & location sounds good.

I anticipate camping at the track on Friday night (unless a better alternative comes up) and Saturday night (definitely). I've got until Tues eve to get home so my exact route home is flexible; maybe tag along.

I like Jamies (jls) plan after GJ... north along the Kennedy Ranges and west to the Ningaloo area.

JonO - have you got yourself prepped?

After my girly little foray on the border, Leony and I are keen to make amends. We would like to join the rag-tag mission from Perth but on Saturday, after the main race, we will head north, to Broome, to collect my van.
