Proposal for a Place Place ride Challenge
There are probably over 100 places in Australia with repeated names.
Bindi Bindi, Jimba Jimba, Murrin Murrin and Nulla Nulla come to mind.
In the Eastern States I have ridden to Baw Baw, Terip Terip, Nerrin Nerrin, Ni Ni and Buln Buln.
There is Wagga Wagga, Curl Curl and Min Min.
Snaga...there is even a dog of a village called Obi Obi in Queensland.
How about a competition to have a minimum of two riders on BMW bikes photographed at repeated name locations across Australia with the winner being the highest number of different locations. Or should it be the best trip between two repeated name places. You could do Bindi Bindi to Jimba Jimba on the Gascoyne weekend or Nulla Nulla (near Bodallin) to Murrin Murrin on a trip to the Northern Goldfields.
Unfortunately (as Brian/5 will point out) our most accessible potential duplicate Gingin does not count as it is only one word.

Bozo,
I know a place with a double name closer to Perth.
Nearly 2 x Weeks ago I was at a place on the Toodyay Road on my bike..........It was called "Bugga Bugga" or for Brian/5 "Bugger Bugger"

Now, just to get this thread back on track....There is, I believe a Gin Gin in Queensland, gotta be better than our very own Gingin. Who's up for leading a ride there? Imagine the reception we could potentially get?

Wightman
Plusses......it has a Bakery and an Hotel
Its only 5 solid days riding (4,500 km) to get there
Minuses.... you probably need to come back the same way if you only have 2 weeks.
May be we should start with Ki Ki in South Australia at only 2,800 km.

The Apester
Woop Woop should be easy to find as it is just west of Wilga and appears to have a gravel road to the site. I regularly travelled past the site when I was working at Collie in the 1970's.
It was a Timber Corporation timber mill that had an opening ceremony on Friday October 2, 1925.
The Timber Corporation were the subsidiary of a London Company, William Griffiths and Company Limited, that used Jarrah pavers for road construction.
The main mill for the Timber Corporation was the Greenbushes Timber Mill that the Timber Corporation took over around 1903.
There is also a nearby property Woop Woop Downs.
