Saturday the 28th of May is the Arthur Grady Ride and Display in Kings Square Fremantle
The suggestion is to meet at Di Bella's Coffee Roasters at 9am and then head down to Kings Square for a look see and to watch the start of the historic bike ride.

He had better be. He piked out of our England ride. Bowe doing splendidly well on his R69S. My R50 is doing well too. Just fixed a charging problem this morning

So weathers nice, go for a ride , wife has day off so we decide to go to Freo to check out the bikes and Lauren tags along to do markets and such. So a slow start and we arrive around 11:30 at the Freo hall, park the outfit in the temporary bike show that is the surrounding area at the hall. Go for a wander and first check out the Renault cars which just happen to have the same size and type of tyres as the outfit. Down on my knees checking out the tyre ratings and the owner spots me, about the same time Lauren spots the antique and collectors fair in the town hall and she is off, agree to meet at the water fountain at 12:30 , offered to mind her purse but was unsuccessful even after trying to grab it. The Renault owner happily tells me all about his tyres and even shows me the hard old original in the boot (is it le trunque? at the front) , turns out I can buy the tyres in Australia and don't have to buy from France. Extract my self from the Renault owner and proceed to check out all the wonderful bikes, what a selection! Proceed round the corner and was eyeing off a penny farthing when the keeper explained that it was built in 1874, it took me a moment to compute , but I am pretty sure its older than Swampy. Kept wandering and checked out the old stem engine which was refilling its 1000 litre water tank from the town supply with a nice long hose, guess they will be looking for somewhere to send the bill.. Check out the old engines tonking away with there various incarnations attached. Walk round to do a pass to make sure the outfit is not feeling unsettled and a couple are eyeing off a restored Guzzi near it, strike up a conversation and turns out he has a few bikes and wants a GS1200, well here's how you join the BMWMCCWA. Scoot down to the water fountain to catch up with Lauren and arrive on time. Lauren appears with a spoil.. Go to lunch in Freo and wander back to the event, do a quick lap with Lauren and we are all geared up to jump back on the outfit when a gent and his wife wander up and start chatting , they own the doocati next to the outfit and are off to NZ in 3 weeks to ride around on a GS 1200 and he wants a second bike , has tested a GS1200, repeat well here's how you join the BMWMCCWA.
Headed off home and washed and treated the outfit to a bath and rub down.
All good.
Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, the Freo Council is to be commended, lots of stuff for blokes to ogle including the bikes at , the Antique and collectors fair, lots of choices for lunch in Freo or you could just do the gold coin donation sausage sizzle if that's what needed.
Saw a couple of 'BM's but none that I am familiar with apart from Arts and Jeff's early twins.
Cheers
