BillB, Ross + Patsy, Wes and Bozo avoided the Gran Fondo and its 1,100 cyclists and headed south.
We travelled through the picturesque landscape before striking a road closed sign on Gardiner Road. The road had been closed to ease traffic problems with the Tulip Festival and could have necessitated a five kilometre deviation. We took our original course without bumping into any traffic but nearly bumped into two large kangaroos.
Jarrahdale and Serpentine Dam were choc a block with motorbikes and we settled in for our long wait for coffee at the Dam whilst fathers and families celebrated around us.
The 28s were upstaged by a dive bombing Kookaburra although Ross was almost christened by a 28 who positioned his tail over his head with clear intention to comment on the politically incorrect statements being made about parrot pie.

We discovered that three of us owned the same mower but had put in place quite different maintenance regimes with Wes on the verge of acquiring more mowers.
Learning to share is an important lesson for BMW club members but not when it comes to marshmallows.
Back home along Nettleton Road and its colourful displays of the Lesser Bottlebrush (Callistemon Phoeniceus Lindl.)
I was hoping to spot a Kingia Australis to discuss why it is not a grass tree or blackboy.

Thanks to Wes for running tail end Charlie.
Good toi have survived the light feathered Kookaburra and the malevolent 28.
