Missing the MudFest

Post by Bozo »

A massive roll up to Catalanos today including guy on a grunge Triumph that attracted robbin Robins attention...almost a very uncomfortable ride to the record Triumph assembly.

Fast Rhino, JP, BillB, Kim, Eddy, Ross, Jens, Graham, Chris G and Bozo took off in glorious weather to whip through the Swan Valley. The road was filled with interesting vehicles on the way to Bindoon and mobs heading to the MudFest at the Belvoir Amphitheatre.

Deviating to Warbrook Road the group came to a halt when the surface turned to gravel. An alternative route to Neaves Road got us on to the excellent bends on the Old Yanchep Road.

A couple of Harleys, one without number plates passed through the group like a dose of Epsom Salts before turning off to Barbagello Raceway. Jens was still keen to see kangaroos but again the only ones sighted had been resting on their sides for a long time.

Turning into Military Road and heading towards Gingin the predominant traffic was motorcyclists. There was also a mob of them at Gingin CU@Park Café.

A quick cake an coffee was almost disrupted by arguments over whose coffee was whose.

Back onto Mooliabeenee Road for a quick run to Bindoon via the Leschenaultia laden Crest Hill Road. Bindoon was packed for its Wildflower and Car Show.

We were approached by an octogenarian who said "watch out for the Police...they don't like bikies". We spotted a cluster of the boys in blue amongst the Leschenaultia at the Chittering Road turnoff.

We flew by at legal speeds to enter the Chittering Valley by Blue Plains Road before ending the ride at Pearce.

A few spots of rain on the way home reminded us of how nice the morning weather was.

Great that a good group headed off for a Sunday ride before the forecast storm hit.

Thanks to Jens for doing Tail End Africa Twin duties and for BillB riding the first scooter on a Bozo ride.
