Hello fellow adventurers
I will lead a ride out to the Camp Cook Off, leaving from Caltex Midvale at 1pm Saturday 12th November.
Assemble and top up at 12.45 ready to head out at 1 pm.

We will take mostly sealed roads and some dirt roads, through woodlands and farming areas to Congellin Dam, arriving around 3pm, ready to setup camp and prepare the evening meal.

Good one Cookie but you will fall short of Bills target arrival time of 12pm and not receive the full 5 point bonus!
I think arrival at 12pm scores 5 points dropping to arrival at 5pm scoring 1 point, then nothing after that. Some might think it a worthwhile trade off for more leisurely and scenic ride

Greater numbers will secure us a good area to hold the event. It gets fairly crowded by other campers so the more we have at the site, earlier the better our chances of getting the area we prefer.There is plenty of scenery and things to look out and do down there.
If we set up tents and mark out our area earlier people can go off and do other things.
And while I think of it if Jono would be kind enough to ser up a registrar on the private web site and collect the $10 camping fee I will allocate 5 points for those that registrar this week, 4 points next week 3 points the following week.
We have to do something to move some members to put their name down

Bills post went up two hours later, I did not know about the noon point system.

Happy to consider an earlier meeting time if their is enough interest in the ride.

Meet at Caltex Midvale, corner of GEH and Farrell road, at 9.45, top up and be ready to go by 10am.

Ride will be a mixture of dirt and sealed roads, amount of dirt will be dependant on who turns up and on what machines.

Arrive at Congellin by noon to set camp and enjoy the local places of interest.
