Following our lattes :P at Cats this morning Chris G,DR650 , Jamie DR650, Robbo, DR650, Graham H ,R1150 GS, Jean, F800GSA, David F800 GSA BillB DR650 headed for the Perth Hills on what turned out to be a great day with the weather and the tracks being up to scratch for a interesting dirt ride.
With Mr Grice leading the group we headed up Welshpool Rd, Canning , Pickering Brook Rd and Carinya Rds which led to the dirt and then heading down 17 km of some rather soft loose potholed rough gravel that was a bit challenging, finishing that section when this Rd came to Dale Rd the road conditions improved considerably with everyone managing to keep upright, then heading to Ashton Rd then the final 22km to Mt Dale. We stopped at the lookout taking in the spectacular vista and having a bit of a chinwag without the usual pie that would have been consumed on a Bozo black bear ride.
I had to leave the other 6 riders and head home as other Doris commitments were required. The rest of the group continued on for more dirt adventure in the Perth hills and I made my way home arriving on time so as to keep the boss happy
I AM SURE MEMBERS OF THE REMAINDER RIDERS OF THE GROUP WILL BE REPORTING IN THIS THREAD EVENTS ON THE REST OF THE RIDE to fellow members

Yes a great day out
A huge gathering at cats eventuated into 7 riders heading off road for the day
Leaving mt Dale my bike was going all over the place more so than entering mt Dale
A flat tyre on the rear ,we regrouped and couldn't see a entry point into the tyre ,so we added air to 15psi waited 5 and checked again and got 18 psi, magic we decided to continue to inflate the tyre and check fauther afield all good
I guess the moral of the story is check pressures,s before heading off
We ended up picking up the trails to York for lunch at the bakery ,a pie of course
York was hot and quiet maybe a legacy from the 41c yesterday ,
which bought comments about mad dogs and Englishmen
We returned via the dirt and finished up with a coffee at the Dome at Mundaring ,home at 4pm ,a great day out
