A great ride organised by Cookie through Goomalling, Yelbeni, and out towards Bruce Rock...

Picked up McFarkle in McGoomalling... and on a 650? What's the world coming too...

Looking around Yelbeni...

The Rock Plaque in Yelbeni

Image

The line-up of fine BMW Motorrads in Yelbeni. Looks like a history of the GS brand, with a sprinkling of RT for polish...

Image

Setting up a dry'ish camp at the Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve. Lost my mobile phone in their somewhere. Magically it turned up later

Image

The Kokerbin Rock, apparently the 3rd largest monolith in Western Australia

Image

Kokerbin Dreaming, fantastic clear night skies here... when there's no rain, wind and lightning

Image

An eye for survival - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

A group of explorers went off for a trek around, up and over the Kokerbin Rock.

Discovering the meaning of life, the mother of all, the opening of legends... Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve

Image

Just mentioning that there was a little rain around - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

And a bit windy as illustrated by the blown hairstyles at the cairn on the top of the rock - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

And got even windier at the cairn on the top of Kokerbin Rock.
Note: The lighter ones clinging to the cairn to stop getting blown away  There'll probably be a good reason for that!

Image

That'll be the reason then! Awesome lightning show, no fires, much rain... Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve

Image

The locaton plaque at the top of the rock - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

The overhang at the Kokerbin Rock - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

Before the storm hits. Beautiful long shadows and views from Kokerbin Rock... almost Tuscan landscape - Kokerbin Rock Nature Reserve...

Image

Daring to be different...

Image

How do these formations happen? Time, lots of time... The making of a Monolith.

Image

Thanks to Cookie for putting together another great ride in Western Australia :P

Brilliant photos Nev. They were taken so long ago, the monolith is now a duolith
