Jamie

Got work Monday otherwise would have thought seriously about heading east.

Can not help you with camping advice.

From Port Augusta head to Wilmington Horrocks Pass.

Motorcycle museum at Peterborough and fill up with fuel.

Not a lot between Peterborough and Broken Hill. Olary (tiny town) has a motorcycle friendly pub.

Broken Hill is a great overnight stop. Wilcannia is a very small community. Cobar is a good lunch stop. Nyngan has an excellent bakery/café. Dubbo is a large regional city.

Consider visiting Silverton (20km north of BH) if you have time. Mad Max Museum there and this place has been used as the backdrop for many movies over the years because of its authenticity when you think of the Aussie Outback towns 'back in the day'.
Bush camping does become more difficult the further you head east because so much property is fenced. Start looking for a camp site earlier than usual so you don't get caught out. You'll find a break in the fence line if you look hard enough.

In NSW, QLD you can use the stock route roads for camping as some of these are quite wide letting you get away from the road a bit.
After all the drovers have to camp somewhere.
