Hello to all

I am hatching a plan to lead the group North East from the Woolworths servo, out to Wongan Hills around past Koorda etc

Return route potentially via back roads to Cunderdin, Meckering, York, Spencers Brook (catch up with a mate) then home.

I'm planning to head up towards Toodyay then onto Goomalling, taking dirt roads where possible, there will be some bitumen, then from there heading north east towards Cowcowing lakes, Lake Wallambin and on to Bencubbin.

I've not been on these tracks before but looking on Google Earth they seem to be good gravel roads.

Leaving from the Caltex fuel station at 240 Toodyay Road, Stratton. ( just off Roe Highway ).
Planning to get there for 8-30am and leave 9am.

Anyone welcome to tag along, please let me know on the forum or PM.

Robbo.

Okay, route looks something like this-:

Meet Woolworths Servo, Wanneroo Road, near Hepburn Ave 8.30 for a 9am departure.

Calingiri ~11am
Wongan Hills ~11.45am

Black top country roads for the trip, I will be on the 650GS and camping over night.

Hi Robbo,

Count me in, I will tag along for short time. Unfortunately I need to be back in Perth around 4pm, no camping for me.

G'day all. I'm new on here.

I intend to join you all in the ride/camp to Bencubbin, it just so happens that I have to drop off a couple of historic family trophies to the museum plus it's the town I grew-up in as a kid so I can kill a couple of birds with one stone.

I also ride a K1600GTL so I should blend in ok.

Looking forward to the weekend.

Hi Folks. I'll be part of Cookie's ragtag force. I've attached an invitation we received. Might be worth spending an hour here before the final assault on Bencubbin
Hello,

The Koorda Hotel would like to extend an invitation to your club/group to come and visit our great little town. We can offer group bookings if you'd be interested in taking the opportunity to explore!!

Here is a quick guide of some of the things Koorda has to offer;
- some beautiful bush flowers in bloom
- spectacular clear night skies for the star gazers
- motor and military museum, great for car enthusiasts, as well as heaps of war memorabilia.
- Historical museum where just the building itself has been used for a number of different events and meetings over the years.

- and even a drive in cinema (one of 3 left in WA!)
Koorda is only 2.5hrs from Perth city centre and just over an hour from Northam.
Please contact us if you would like to take us up on this great opportunity to get away from the hussle and bustle of city life for a weekend!!
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards
