On Saturday 19th of August I am going to ride out to Mt Stirling for a day trip (don't know why, never been before) if anyone wants to tag along all welcome. would probably leave about 8.00/8.30, be home by about 4 or 5. Hopefully the weather will be ok.

Probably Caltex Midvale about 8.30. A mate of mine that is coming and has just gone back to road tyres so not sure about the dirt, will get back to you on that. whats your preference?

Spoke to Bozo this morning, he says all the tracks leading into Mt Stirling are dirt..
Can't do next w/e but can do the next one if you change your dates. Would probably take the Suz DR 650

Ok Bill you have your wish, dates changed will now do on the Saturday 26th August, I suggest that we leave from Caltex Midvale at 8.00 am. I spoke to the Kellerberrin Shire during the week according to the woman that I spoke to you can access the rock from bitumen and about 100 m of dirt, would assume that there will be tracks that could be ridden around the rock. Will look at some options in regard to bitumen/dirt roads that will get us there.

I am free that Saturday so hope to join you.

Weather is looking good for the Mt Stirling ride this Saturday. Anyone interested come along for a invigorating ride into the countryside....

So far we have 2 x Brians, Bill, Paul and myself. would like to leaving Caltex Midvale at 8.00am. Have breakfast on the way go to the rocks and make our way home via Greenhills Inn for a late lunch. I did a run out there on Saturday via mixture of dirt and mainly bitumen, the dirt was mainly clay and quite slippery. We will need to do a bit of dirt around the rocks, the weather around Kellerberrin has been dry all week, would expect the dirt roads to have dried out nicely. If on the day you decide to pull out call or text me.
