A good roll up of motorcycles at Cats today with a stunning day to head for the hills. Jamie is becoming a regular attendee and seemed to pop up whenever his name was mentioned. Desert Raid stories still resonate over the bacon and scrambled eggs with sand and water being a major components of the conversation.
Neville turned up on a Himalaya version of the Royal Enfield but it was not the Nev of the Himalaya sojourn. Showing respect to HIs Royal Griceness the bike was parked next to HRG's urban scrambler.
Eight riders took the short course circuit to the Gidgegannup Bakery. BillB, Colin, Rob, Braam, Dinga, Mackerel Eddie, Neville (on a Himalaya Royal Enfield) and Bozo took the airport route to get to Campersic Road before ascending the scarp and taking the Lancewood Road woops to O'Brien Road. Mingling with a few sports bikes we travelled through Clenton Road, Berry Road and Reserve Road to get to a very busy Gidgegannup Bakery. A quick run down Bunning Road to Mundaring and the ride was over.
Magic day to go for a ride but a few thousand metres lower than the Himalayas.
