The Perfect Storm

Postby Bozo » Sun Dec 17, 2017 4:22 pm

The combination of cricket, climate and Christmas created a perfect storm for a trio of BMW riders.

There had been a fair roll up to Catalano's including Jamie with a freshly minted set of teeth and a number of returning bikes from their eastern states adventures. It appears our NSW Chapter is now without a quorum for an extended period.

Peter, KenQ (from a stint in Queensland and to distinguish him from Kenny G, KenE and Intrepid Ken) and Bozo took the airport option to the Swan Valley before heading through the Chittering Valley and Blue Plains Road to get to Bindoon. We were the only motorcyclists at the bakery when we arrived.

Splitting up at Bindoon, Peter and Bozo took Crest Hill Road and Mooliabeenee Road to get to Gingin and then Military Road to get to Wanneroo Road. The strength of the wind was very evident when we got closer to the coast and particularly as we swung onto the new stretch of freeway.

The severe weather warning and other activities had cut the traffic and the wind and rain had cleared the roads creating the perfect storm for a small group of motorcyclists.

Thanks to Peter for running as tail end Charlie though the group were rarely more than a few metres apart.
