Bozo Bitumen B-Road and Bakery Bandwagon

Post by Bozo »

Lots of chat about club members travelling overseas with destinations like Mongolia, Thailand and New Zealand at a time when buzz top Digger is undertaking his Columbo plan and apres ski Spacey is enjoying the snow.

Eleven riders took Bozo's bitumen B-Road challenge and auf den fahrenden Zug aufspiringen (jumped on the band wagon). Wes, German Paul, HR Griceness, Prof Dist, Red Emperor Eddy, Ross, Bolton, Ted, Stoy, Peter and Bozo headed out via the International Airport. Despite excessive use of roundabouts the group were still together at Ridge Hill Road before mixing it with fire appliances on Great Eastern Highway. A large fire was well ablaze south of Sawyers Valley causing more than a little guilt for the voluntary firefighters in our midst. Heading towards York after the Lakes we turned off down Inkpen Road for an enjoyable ride through the twisties followed by Burma, Bailup, Berry and Bunning Roads as a part of the B-Road bash. A stop at Gidgegannup Bakery expanded on the planned overseas travels of members. A quick check of the radar had the ex tropical cyclone watering Mogumber so we were well clear when the ride terminated at Mundaring.

Thanks to Peter for acting as tail end Charlie and getting everyone efficiently to Gidgegannup.

Home by midday in plenty of time to see Australia bat in the one dayer.

You can add another couple of more B's as in Big Burn
Hope it wasn't the airheads overheating,
The day turned a bit warmer than predicted.
