Hijack Ride to Dwellingup

An outstanding roll up with some interesting bikes. Wightman and Bowe left early on impressive airheads. Richard brought his twin to the "White Pointer". A new single seat R Nine T and a 1200CL also turned up.
8 headed out to Dwellingup only to have Jack and another BMW rider hijack the lead of the now 10 member ride from Hale Road to Canning Road. Lots of motorcycles out enjoying the dry roads and clear cool weather.
The starting group of Al, Wes, Bolton, David, Sashimi Eddy, Ted, Bozo and Swampy headed past Canning Dam and back to Bedfordale to take Swampy's shortcut to South West Highway. Sashimi Eddy's front tyre alarm was subdued at Byford as the group headed up Nettleton Road with Bolton then hijacking the role of pioneering the road.
Past Serpentine Dam on Kingsbury Drive there was a temporary unsealed diversion, where Alcoa was building a haul road, to whet Swampy's appetite for gravel. A subdued swing down South West Highway to North Dandalup was followed by a the sight of an echidna being escorted the now fully sealed Del Park Road. Dwellingup was absolutely full of motorcycles and collector cars. Coffee and chips were scarcely consumed when His Royal Griceness materialised from having done a scarper.
HRG did not want to ride back on his own and set about hijacking David and Al to take a gravelly return to Perth. The remaining five headed back down Del Park Road to North Spur Road to desend the scarp to Alcoa Road. The run via Hopeland Road via Lakes Road was interupted by a Bee in Bozo's bonnet. A brief stop and the group took Kargotich Road to Thomas Road before splitting up.
Thanks to Swampy for running as tail end Charlie on a great day for a spin in the hills. No thanks to HRG for hijacking two of the ride group.
