Small turn up this Sunday.
BJ managed to get two of his bikes there to boost numbers, Robbo was out to wash his riding gear, David had been doing a lot of restoration on his R65 and the Leyland Brothers (Noel and Brian/5) gave more insights into the Mongolia Trip and were a little anxious about the bikes arriving back in WA. Chris and Cookie were deep in discussion about knurling.
Three riders Rhonda, Peter and Bozo, took a Melbourne weather (sunny one minute, cold and rainy the next) ride to Gingin via Old Yanchep Road. Apart from a pig pen on a slow moving trailer there was no problem with the traffic. At a stop at the Gravity Centre Rhonda reported that the new "Cookie" aluminium tray fitted to her Can Am was working brilliantly. A stop at the @ Café at Gingin enabled Shrodinger's Cat to be clarified and the attractions of Streaky Bay to be aired. Back home via Bindoon and the Chittering Valley to see the last quarter of the Eagles-Collingwood Match.
Great to get out despite the patchy weather and to get half dry road through the Chittering Valley. Flooded paddocks and rapidly flowing creeks and streams were evidence of recent heavy rain. Thanks to Peter for running Tail End Charlie.
