Mongolia to Russia Ride 2019
Saturday 27th July – Sunday 18th August 2019
Our ride for 2019 will take a very different route compared to last year, following in the footsteps of Chinggis Khaan, to his birth place, travelling North East from the Mongolian capital UlaanBaatar across the Steppe for nearly 1,400km towards the border crossing at Solov'yevsk, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia.

We then travel about 1,200km through Russia to Chita and Maleta before crossing back into Mongolia at Khyagt and then back to UlaanBaatar after about 18 days riding.

This ride is intended to offer a more substantial off road component than our 2018 ride and offer riding suitable for the most experienced to the comparative novice rider.

Our ride is designed to allow you to travel safely at your own pace on the steppe and along tracks, with time to allow you to pick your own path, which will range from smooth grass to the more technical sections descending into riverbeds and riding through soft sand. It is anticipated the 2019 ride will include more river crossings and by its nature, will be much more of an expedition type adventure. You should be reasonably fit and we recommend undertaking some off road riding training in preparation and be prepared for an adventure that will range from staying in hotels of various standards to camping in remote areas with limited facilities, but fabulous views.

The trip will start with preparing your motorcycle for shipping in May 2018.
The bikes will arrive in Ulaanbaatar at the start of July.

Riders will depart Perth via Hong Kong on Saturday 27th July arriving in Ulaanbaatar the next day. The following morning we set off east via the giant statue of Chinggis Khaan for the Mongolian Steppe.
