First Aid Kit

I know this belongs in GENERAL and this is not the right forum but at the moment it is the only one I can access!!

An esteemed and long time member of our club asked me this morning if I would list the FIRST AID ITEMS I carry whilst on rides.

The following items are LOCATED EITHER IN MY LEFT PANNIER ON THE "WHITE WHALE" or Alternatively IN THE TOP BOX if I am Riding "HARRY HONDA" depending on which bike I am riding at the time!!

I and a group of Club Members attended the RIDER DOWN First Aid Course last year and as a result of completing that course successfully I now carry the following equipment.

Customised First Aid Kit which contains the following items:

Adhesive Strip x 9
Antiseptic Sachet x 2
Burn Aid Gel Sachet x 1
Safety Pins x 2
(Haemostatic Dressing)
Bleed Solv 10cm x 10cm
Nitrile Gloves
30 mil Eye Wash and Wound Irrigation.
Thermo Accident Blanket
Wound Dressing 14 (1)
Wound Dressing 13 (1)
Trauma Shears
Black Permenent Marker.

Also:
A Rapid Application Tourniquet Kit (Gen 2)

Mini Stop the Bleed Kit which contains
1 x RATS Tourniquet
1 x Bleed Solv 10cm x 10cm
1 x Pr. Nitile Gloves.

A Snake Bite and Venomous Creatures Kit
Compression Bandage 125 x 105 x 40 mm.

A Survival Blanket.

CPR Mask with Oxygen Port.

Hopefully these items will never be required to be utilised on any of us in the foreseeable future but I thought it worthwhile to inform Club Members that I carry these items so that in the event that an unfortunate Traumatic Incident occurs you will have knowledge of WHAT I CARRY and WHERE YOU CAN LOCATE THEM!! in case I am incapacitated in some way and am unable to access them myself and hopefully their would be at least one person in the group who is trained in the use and application of this kit??

I hope this is of interest to the Club as a whole and people note it for future reference?

Regards

Swampy

Thanks Swampy for updating us on your extensive first aid kit. We all appreciate the effort you have gone to to acquire and list all the items and to carry it all on our rides. Hope we will not have to use it but it certainly means if you are on the rides we are well prepared.
