"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

Re: Thursday Ride 22nd
Five ( Swampy, Brian/5, Digger, Ross and Dave ) depart Byford for a bit longer ride than the usual Thursday one. Dog legged down through Serpentine to Hopeland and Corio roads to Pinjarra. Then via Dwellingup and Lower Hotham road to Quindanning. Dave dropout to return to Perth.
The remaining four carried on via Williams-Collie road to Collie for food and fuel. A great meal & coffee at the Jax Cafe in Collie. The group were happy to push on via Lennards Drive below Wellington Dam.
A great winding one way single lane road. Being mid-week only a few park works vehicles on the side.
Continue home via Henty Brrook road and South Western Hwy, Hopelands and Tonkin Hwy.
At Waroona Harry the Honda took off with Swampy straight home.
Thanks guys great ride. My trip meter showed just over 500km.
