BOM Guided Ride
Posted: Sun 25 Nov, 2018 2:54 pm
A glorious morning with a good turn out at Catalano's including Bowe on a R69S. Good to see Herman back on a bike and Sprocket putting in an appearance.
After consulting the BOM Radar it was decided to head north west to minimise conflict with rain. Ross, Ted, Peter, Vic, Wes, Bozo and Swampy revisited Campersic Road, O'Brien Road and Berry Road before crossing paths with two motorcycle Police. A shortcut on Sandplain Road got us on to Julimar Road to reach an absolutely packed Bindoon Bakehaus with more Indians than cowboys. Adding to the atmosphere were regular swarms of military personnel.
Wes and Vic were engaged in a techo battle about inverters and batteries. Wes pulled up a live image of rain falling on his driveway. Vic pulled up a live feed of the status of his power generation and demand.
There was a chance that we could get back to Perth without precipitation (but not to Armadale). A diversion down Blue Plains Road and a dry run through the Chittering Valley and the ride finished at Bullsbrook with an ominous backdrop. BOM confirmed that it was PDIA (raining heavily in Armadale) and that the White Whale would get its second wash for the week.
Thanks to Swampy for running tail end Charlie.
