A pretty good turn out at Catalano's this morning with both Mr. President and Mr. Vice President gracing us mere mortals with their presence 8)

It was also pleasing to see some ladies add some sparkle to today's gathering, Vice Presidency Karen with Carol, Bernadette and Trish were a welcome sight gathered among'st some pretty ordinary looking guys

Great to see BJ back on his "Lovely" bike with his ribs slowly recovering and Big Al took a break from trucking to make a surprise appearance too!

We welcomed new member Mark to our group who was supposed to join us in this mornings ride but for some unexplained reason got left behind? My apologies Mark.

Also an old member returned after a long Guzzi Stelvio sabbatical to join us on a beautiful pristine 6 week old R1200R.....Welcome back Hugh.

In the absence of Bozo (Victoria) and Peter (Tasmania) it was left to the dregs to take up the reins for a ride today. So being voted number one "Dreg" I took up the challenge to lead some brave heart's on a ride through the hills!

Stoy, Grand pop Ted, Hugh, Eddy and Swampy very mindful of the double demerit points being enforced this weekend took a nice steady ride up Lesmurdie Hill, through the back blocks to Serpentine Dam via Canning Dam and Jarrahdale. We took a 5 minute breather at Serpentine before scooting along through Karnet and back down onto the coastal plain to Dell Park Road and up through Dwellingup to Nanga Brook Road and followed the beautiful sweeping road down to Waroona for a welcome refreshment break at the Bakery ( eat your heart out Bozo!!)

Not so young Ted regaled us with his tales of Derring Do of,water skiing in the lakes surrounding Waroona and also winning Snow Skiing awards back in his native homeland as a young lad before he emigrated to our fair shores with the First Fleet!!

Eddy has recently returned from a trip in his luxury caravan over East and is off again in a couple of weeks on a trip down South.

I was amazed that I had forgotten how peaceful our Sunday rides had been in his absence!!

A good ride with the the temp hovering around 27C in the hills increasing to 34C on the coastal plain and my commiserations go to those who chose Toodyay as their preferred destination today 37C.................. Wes!!

Thank you to those brave souls who risked all to follow me faithfully on a very pleasant ride today and as I managed to not lose anyone along the way will count it as a resounding success!!

PS. WA's finest seemed to be every where today patrolling the highways and by ways keeping most motorist's honest!!

Wow what a great ride, think you should lead more often and write up such a great report.
Well done Swampy!
From Peter and Mei currently camped beside Lake Lonsdale, near Stawell in Victoria, ready to hit the big smoke of Melbourne tomorrow. Onto the Spirit of Tassie on Thursday for leisurely touring of Tas.
Remember rubber down shiny bits up.
