I looked at your plan on the private forum Cookie. Looks like a vgood ride you've got planned - combining the Border Run with the Desert Raid. It's exactly the reason Digger & I picked the midweek date 7 August.

I'll know more about my movements closer to the time but it may line up that I join you at or near Kalgoorlie.

Hello Wilks

Yes, it dawned on me after posting, that there may be some riders interested in meeting near Kalgoorlie on Monday 5th August to join me for the soft road option to Empress Springs.

More detail to follow closer to the date.

Hello Hushy

Sticking to the main road to Leonora, then Great Central road.

We should be back in Kal (from the Border) Sunday evening, then a leisurely 2.5 days to Desert Raid.

Call or text when you know and we will keep an eye out for you.

Cookie,

So close! No more than 50 km's from Empress Springs....

For you and the rest who didn't make it here is a view of the ride out from Empress Springs on the Eagle Highway; aka David Carnege Road. Maybe you will recognise the spot you came off?

An excellent turn-out for DESERT RAID No 5 in Year 10.

Cheers,

Raider

Raider's video on the track from Empress Springs back to the Great Central Road.

Very entertaining :P I notice that you didn't do too much sight seeing. The camera seemed to have an intense focus on the track directly ahead

Raider, love yer narration, especially through the wriggly bits

Nice of you to keep the language suitable for a 'General' audience :P
