This event is on this year (I think Cookie posted something about this a while back but I could not find it) September 12 through 15.
Lake Perkolilli is about 60k NW of Kalgoorlie.
They are saying there will be about 100 cars and bikes racing, the Thursday and Friday are qualifying days.
I plan to take 4 wheels and and spend 5 days there.
It is a circuit around the lakes edge, racing has been happening here for over 100 years, particularly between the first and second world wars
Maybe someone could put this on the club calendar!

Hello all

I am hatching a plan to head out Friday morning the 13th Sept, camp 2 nights, then head home Sunday15th. A mate of mine is racing his Triumph Super 7?

More details to follow in coming months

Event now set up on the club home page, where you can register your interest, ~1200km round trip, mixture of dirt and sealed roads, suitable for most bikes.

One of the vintage automobile racer entrants.

Just got back from Mulberry on Swan, went as a passenger in the Triumph Super 7 - vehicles were undergoing scrutineering for Perkolilli, some very nice machines ventured out

Train and Bus Transport to Lake Perkolli Red Dust Revival.

A friend just advised that he is catching the train to Kalgoorlie, then bus service to view the racing at Lake Perkolilli.

BUS SERVICE

Thanks to the generosity of the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder there will be a Council bus running from the Kalgoorlie Town Hall to the Lake each day.

DAILY SCHEDULE: THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

7.30am - DEPART KALGOORLIE TOWN HALL

12 noon - DEPART LAKE AND RETURN TO KALGOORLIE

12:30pm - DEPART KALGOORLIE TOWN HALL

4:00pm - DEPART LAKE AND RETURN TO KALGOORLIE

The trip takes approx 30 minutes

Wow, what an amazing turnout and location, a great time was had by all, photos will be posted on the Private forum in due course.

Bumped into several long term club members, whom we have not seen recently.
