Carl Montgomery and I are leaving on 6 May for a lap around Aus (anticlockwise), me on a DR650 and Carl on a F650GS. We intend to come into Broome on about 12 June. Anybody wishing to join us for certain parts of the trip, give me a call. We are doing 12000 kms. We will be leaving on full knobbly tires, as most of the roads we traverse will be gravel. We will send a couple of pics along the way.

Spangled grunter in the Plenty River (and an out of control Wightman).
Even though it rises in the rocky ranges North West of the Simpson Desert and floods out into the Upper and Lower Plenty Lakes in the Simpson Desert, fish life is occasionally spotted in the ephemeral pools of the Plenty River.

Spangled Grunter or Leiopotherapon Unicolor are recognised by their silver head and what looks like gravel dust on their body.

The "Sound of DR Music" lap of the paddock continues.
This is the "Climb any Mountain" bit just after "Ford any Stream".

Wightman making sure he does not Bungle his fuel (at least half a tank at his destination).
And continuing the Sound of DR Music story having the moon on his wings
