Usual arrangement- meeting at Dome Mundaring at 8:45am for a prompt 9:15am departure.
I will be at Shell Ascot at 8:10am for a 8:15am departure to head to Mundaring on the back roads.
Ride destination to be decided over coffee at Dome Mundaring.
Be there or miss out on some predicted good riding weather.

Not this week chaps, maybe next.

Cool but clear skies greeted Brian5 and I as we arrived at Mundaring Dome to find Steve’s ( of “I have an urge” fame) bike loaded up for his trip to Mt Augustus in the carpark with Steve inside sipping a coffee. We coaxed Steve to sit outside, with Chris G and Hermann arriving shortly after. A Harry was seen going past and with a quick wave Swampy was on his solo ride to the C C Cafe perhaps.
After saying bye to Steve, as he set off on his solo trip to Mt A, the fearless four set off heading up the GEH to the Lakes, taking the York Rd and ending up on our favourite Talbot West Rd. The temperature was now now starting to rise from the earlier 10 degrees C to a balmy 14 degrees C.
The group had earlier agreed to head to Brookton so instead of going via Beverley we took a right onto the very scenic York to Williams Rd, crossing Westdale Rd and ending up on the Brookton Hwy with only about 3 kms of easy dirt road. At Brookton we decided Narrogin was the destination so a leisurely run down the Great Southern soon had us sitting in the Fortune French Hot Bread shop enjoying lunch. All meals and drinks were considered damm fine and others obviously agreed as the place was full with seated eaters and take aways. Temperature had now risen to low twenties.
Williams was our next destination followed with a quick turnoff onto the Williams to Pinjarra road. With a scenic diversion onto Lower Hotham Rd we soon cruised into a sleepy Dwellingup. Hermann departed to Mandurah and we weaved our way onto Hopelands, Kargotich and the Tonkin to head home.
A 450+ kms ride in cool but brilliant weather with good mates on humming Bavarian Beauties through the minimal traffic scenic WA countryside, who could ask for more!
