EOFY WINTER RIDE- SUNDAY JUNE 30
Posted: Sun 30 Jun, 2019 2:40 pm
A cloudy sky and some early morning showers meant there was a minimal numbers of riders wanting to do a bitumen ride to finish the financial year - June 30. In fact only Wes, Ted and I headed off in fine weather, with a threat of showers. Past the airport and Bullsbrook had us heading towards Wanneroo on Neaves Rd. As we turned of onto Old Yanchep Rd Ted left us as the chill factor from wet pants, from the early morning shower on the way to Cats, was freezing him. He reluctantly headed for home.
Wes and I continued via Indian Ocean Drive, Military, Gingin Brook and Dewar Rds to the CU@PARK Cafe in Gingin. Few cars, few people, 13.5 degrees C and no rain so far didn’t stop us enjoying an early lunch. A healthy discussion evolved touching on riding GS’s, how bloody good BMW bikes are and what a great club the BMWMCCWA is, nuff said!
A quick stop in Bindoon was the goodbye stop as Wes headed for home down the highway and I couldn’t resist the Chittering Valley. A minor shower hit me in Herne Hill but hardly enough to wet me.
Thanks to Ted and Wes for joining me and Wes for TEC duties. Altogether a great winter’s day ride.
