Wildflower Run to Lancelin

An interesting morning at Catalano's with a freshly cleaned black RS getting lots of attention. Sharon also put in an appearance with Rob displaying her boxer bits to all and sundry. Koos arrived in a BSA sidecar outfit and Sleepy Paul fronted as well.

Six riders and a pillion flew in a convoy past the airport and into the Swan Valley before deviating to the Chittering Valley. Leschenaultia was now becoming much more prominent along with other splashes of other wildflower colour. A heritage display of cars at Bindoon separated Vic from the group leaving Bill + Trish, Andrew, Frank, Peter and Bozo to roar up Crest Hill Road and take Wells Glover Road and the Bindoon Moora Road to get to Wannamal.

A quick excursion into the road side vegetation at Wannamal turned up clumps on Donkey Orchards, a Pink Spider Orchard, a myriad of Cowslip Orchids and a lone Fire/Potato/Undertaker Orchid in bloom.

It was no-bull-riding as we passed through Mogumber and then on to Reagans Ford for a few Emus.

A quick run down Orange Springs Road, Sapper Road and KW Road had us in a busy Lancelin. Kids serve fish and chips was the popular choice as we laid back and savoured the azure waters and coastal scenery.

Returning home by KW Road, Sappers Road and Cowalla Road we ran into a Prankster operated sidecar on Military Road and then the remnants of the historic motorcycle ride to Moore River.

A nice surprise running into the Prankster. Thanks to Peter for running as tail end Charlie. Brilliant to get some fresh faces in the group and for them to report really enjoying the ride.
