Hi All
Any plans to support Toodyay...maybe a ride up there to drop off donations...buy stuff. Don't want to get in the way of the recovery efforts though.
Any thoughts?

Hey Koos
I was thinking of taking a collection at the next meeting.

apparently Perth street Bikes have organised a ride tomorrow leaving Caltex Stratton ( Toodyay Rd) @ 10am I believe at this stage donations of cash or clothes are appreciated rather than toys etc.

I would be keener to spend a day or two helping put in fence poles or assisting in fencing. Is there some way that we can donate some time in labour. I'd rather ride up in the morning spend a day doing something rather than dropping off toys and riding out. With 30 homes being destroyed how many toys would really be needed.

Bring along some spare dollars to the General Meeting on Monday 11th January, we will take up a collection, and maybe organise a bunch of us to go up and 'lend a hand' one weekend, if they want us.

I won't be at the meeting on Monday, have my masters swimming club AGM. I will give you some $'s on Sunday. Jonathan Wightman also gave me some $'s to donate.
I will be keen to go and help for a day....Maybe put a note up at the Coke Cafe?
Cheers

Hi Koos

I'm brand new to this (passed my R assessment yesterday, and joined the club and bought the F650GS in December!), but i have friends in Toodyay who narrowly escaped losing their property in Sandplain Road.
They tell me the Shire is organising and coordinating all assistance and offers of help. Here is some more info on their website:
http://www.toodyay.wa.gov.au/news_publi ... licnotices
AND....
"Please see following information regarding donations:
At this stage, no further donations of clothing or furniture are required.
However, the following is a list of items that are required:
* Flyspray & insect repellent
* Sunscreen & hats
* Gardening tools, outdoor brooms
* Cleaning products
* Torches & batteries"
Maybe your cash donations could buy some of the above? Mostly all are small items that could be delivered via motorbike.
Regards
Nick

From donations last Sunday, and money donated at Monday's meeting, we have raised $139.95.
I will be at the Service Day at Geoff Edwards place on Saturday, if anyone wants to add to that total.
I will be at Catalano's on Sunday morning, and we can decide whether to ride up then (42-44 degrees forecast)
or maybe next week.
I am still waiting for a reply from the relief co-ordinator, as to what they would prefer (money or items)

Hi Lefty
I have still have a donation from Jon Wightman and mine which will double that amount. I cannot make the tuning day or coffee this weekend. Next weekend is OK for Sunday morning [24 Jan] is good for me, however I will have to be back in Perth around 12:30 / 1:00 PM.
Happy to do a run up to Toodyay Sunday morning 24 Jan.
Cheers
Koos
