Thursday Ride 20th Feb
Posted: Thu 20 Feb, 2020 7:09 pm
Arriving at Mundaring Dome Wes & Steve were already there waiting to see if anyone would turn up for this unannounced gathering.
Leading the ride was Brian followed by Eddy, Dave and Wes as TEC. The route started off using some of the roads used for the tuning day run. Out from Mundaring across to Stoneville, Hovea, Parkerville and Gidgegannup. After leaving Berry Rd it was up Toodyay Rd to Fernie, Salt Valley, Sandplain Roads. For a different approach into Toodyay we then went via Drummondi, Stirlingia and Racecourse Roads. Eddy was satisfied as he could mark off some more new roads that he has travelled.
After refreshments and the usual banter at the Cola Café we separated into two groups for the return journey. Eddy & Dave headed home to the northern suburbs via Julimar and Chittering roads. Brian and Wes headed home via Clackline and Wundowie.
The temperature on the way out was very comfortable keeping below 30 degrees. The return journey for me was a still comfortable but a bit warmer being below 34 until descending onto the heat of the coastal plans where it peaked at 37 degrees.
Thanks Guys, for another enjoyable Thursday ride
