A healthy turn up this morning at Catalano's. Great to see the Pinkster's rig functional and appreciating in value and the recent rain suppressing the Aroma Virus that often breaks out on hot days. Good to see another pillion turning up for the first time (Nikki).

A group of nine riders assembled for a multi bakery ride past involving premises at Mundaring, Gidgegannup and Bakers Hill with an actual stop at Toodyay Bakery. The hills were infected with lycra clad organisms that were given a wide berth by the group comprising Ted, Adrian, Sophie, Russell, David, Emperor Eddie, Kim, Wes and Bozo. Travelling up Orrong Road and ascending the scarp we took Repatriation Road, Patterson Road, Walnut Road and Alderside Road to get to Mundaring Weir Road. There was quite a bit of fine litter on the road with odd patches of gravel washed on to the road. David did well with his underinflated front tyre that was resolved at Gidgegannup. Patterson Road had one of those irritating traffic lights that give zero southbound traffic the same time interval as 20 vehicles heading north. A not unexpected radar was spotted on Mundaring Weir Road and the group hope that we stay in the present tense of feeling fine.

A pleasant run from Mundaring to Gidgegannup via Alice, Mildura and Bunning Roads before a break and then on to Reserve, Berry, Bailup, Burma and Coates Roads. Another short stop in Bakers Hill before a run on the Clackline Toodyay Road and a long stop at another red light set up on Toodyay Road. A windy sojourn upstairs at the Toodyay Bakery where the group watched lids and serviettes sauce fly from one end of the table to the other. Back along Julimar Road and a run through the Chittering Valley before the ride finished at Bullsbrook.

Thanks to Wes for running as tail end Charlie to Toodyay and for Kim doing the duties on the way home.
