Swampy & Nurzo ride!!

Received a text from Nurzo last night claiming to be virus free after 2 weeks isolation looking for company for a Sunday ride to clear the head.
As I have also been practicing self isolation with my only recent contacts being at my local servo and a takeaway at the Cola Cafe over the last week or so, I agreed to meet Steve at the car park adjacent to the closed Dome Cafe in Kelmscott.
Keeping a safe virus free zone between bikes we meandered up through Roleystone and took the Mundaring Weir road and GEH to The Lakes for a takeaway coffee and comfort break whilst observing the health department recommendations of distance and disinfecting hands.
Saw Rob on his 1150GS at the servo who was on a ride with two others on non BMW bikes and had a brief chat before taking to the Talbot Road West to York.
From York to Northam without a break before riding into an almost deserted Toodyay.
I chose Toodyay as a destination as I knew the Cola Cafe would be open and that there is a open park with park benches available next door where takeaways could be consumed safely away from others.
There was about ten to fifteen bikes and riders all admirably adhering to more then safe distancing from each other and the Cafe has put strict restrictions in place to also minimize any risk.
The owner was over the moon to have paying customers come into an almost deserted town. Takeaways were consumed in the park with the cafe owner coming over for a chat.
He claims Road Blocks will be put in place by Wednesday morning on all roads leading into regional towns and these will possibly be manned by either the Police, SES or Defence Force personnel and he had already been approached by one department looking to have food and snacks supplied to their people on road block duties for lunches etc!!
We parted company after lunch and bid a sad farewell to Toodyay for who knows how long?
Like many of you I will miss my rides into the country but hopefully a cure will soon be found so we can all return to some degree of normality.
My sympathy go's out to those of you who have lost jobs due to this epidemic and who are struggling with finances
Home after 330 ks of virus free riding and interaction with people.
PS: I know there will be some of you who will no doubt be angry and upset over my actions today and of course you are fully entitled to have your opinion.
However please bear in mind bike riding in most cases is a solitary action. The only interaction I had with the public today was a takeaway outlet who were following and practicing health authority guidelines, a servo for fuel where I wore my gloves and I also kept myself at a safe distance from others out and about enjoying their last chance of freedom possibly before new restrictions are put into play!!
Stay safe people!!
