Rediscovery of Lost Legendary Towns

With the State Governments relaxing of the Regional Boundaries and with a cool August day beckoning, I found it impossible to resist the urge to treat "Elsie" to a Rediscovery Tour Restriction free and let her have her head as we scooted along the Mundaring Weir rd. with the ambient air temperature hovering around 5C.
It was a very slow careful descent down to the Weir as the smoke from prescribed burn offs was so thick and dense in the area it reduced visibility to around 10 metres!!
A stop for a warming coffee at the Lakes ( Dome Mundaring still appears to be closed) and I was off to York and Northam and it seems folk in the country towns were deserting their homes in droves as most of the traffic I saw was heading towards Perth in large numbers!!
At approx. 1033hrs. I rediscovered the town of Toodyay and you will all be pleased to note, the Cola Cafe was still there and doing steady business with only 20 people permitted to be seated on premises.
I was one of only three bikes in attendance!
I was fortunate to locate a vacant table and relaxed for about a pleasant hour and indulged myself with a large bowl of freshly cooked hot chips and a delicious coffee to warm me up as the temp. was only about 15C max. at the time!!
Quite a few caravans were seen exiting Perth as I slowly meandered my way back home to the Southern Green belt and it was only when I re-entered the coastal plain that the temp climbed to a pleasant 20C!!
It was fantastic to get out into the country again, released from the Metropolitan shackles at last!!
see you Thursday folks!!
