In keeping with "tradition", I am suggesting that the Foundation Day long weekend on 5/6/7th June be a Baladjie Rock weekend. This may be the last year I have to celebrate the traditions of Baladjie Rock, so I am prepared to arrange a weekend then if there are no objections. I'll sort the bitumen ride given my change in bike, someone can put up their hands to arrange a dirt route.
If this weekend is preferred for a Dumbleyung tradition, then we can change the Baladjie Rock weekend to the last weekend in September (25/26/27) which is also the AFL Grand Final weekend. If we do Baladjie this weekend, we can watch the Grand Final at the Bullfinch Pub. I have a bet in place AGAINST the Eagles playing in the Grand Final, and will be shouting the bar for an hour before the match IF the Eagles ARE IN the Grand Final.
So, Committee please discuss and let me know which weekend we do Baladjie Rock.
