Oh yes perfect weather for a tour into the Wheatbelt. Great turn up at Mojos with Wes, Nurzo and Noel there as Eddy, Robbie and I arrived with Ross, Nick, Vic and Swampy arriving shortly after. My suggestion of Beverley for lunch not debated at all, as usual.
So with Vic, Noel and Nurzo not joining us it was an enthusiastic group of 7 that headed down Stoneville Rd, across Toodyay Rd onto Reen, Reserve and Berry to get us back onto Toodyay Rd for all of 500m then down Bailup, Burma, Hawke and Coates to slip onto the GEH thru Bakers Hill (Bozo pie land) into Clackline and the road to Toodyay. A quick diversion re Sandplain, Stirlinga and Racecourse had us gliding almost into Toodyay but turning off onto the Goomalling-Toodyay Rd. Wes left the group here.
Swampy deserves a medal for restraining Elsies burning desire to head to the CC Cafe. Well done Swamps. I think having just returned from Kalbarri yesterday he was still in shock being back in the big smoke.
We turned south at Irishtown Rd slipped into Northam and fuelled up Eddy’s thirsty GS. Onto York and the Top Beverley Rd to arrive in Beverley at midday for a well earned stop at the The Red Vault. The place was busy but we slotted in and soon toasties, burgers, chips etc were being consumed. Some caustic comments were made about a particular election as expected.
Of course the only way back to Mundaring was Waterhatch and the Talbots, beautiful!
So guys thanks for a great day and special thanks to Swamps for superb TEC duties. No one lost, no breakdowns or issues. A winner!

Yes I must agree with Pete and Ross. A terrific day out in great company! 8)

It was good to throw the leg over Elsie after a week away and the thought did pass my mind to join Wes in Toodyay however Elsie had it in her head to help me blow away some cobwebs which in the end left us both satisfied and happy!!

"I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains.
Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."
