Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

A rowdy dozen turned up at Mojos all excited about Xmas round the corner Ho Ho Ho. Nurzo, Wes and Swampy were not joining the notorious nine heading to Greenhills Inn for some Xmas tucker and drinks.
Weaved our way through Parkerville, even some loops, oh well saw some nice new different hills houses. O’ Brien, Clenton and Berry, Bailup, Burma and Hawke soon had us onto Inkpen now generally headed in the correct direction. The Talbots were in fine condition to increase the pace. Temperature high twenties, minor wind and dry paddocks, easy riding.
Bypassed York, took the Quairading to York Road, took the turnoff to Greenhills and waited a few minutes before the Inn opened at midday. Very pleasant on the shaded veranda with just enough wind to keep the flies away. The food was up to it’s normal high standard and the one and only one Xmas beer was cold and tasty. Interesting discussion on Emergency services. Hopefully we don’t have to use them.
Back along Mawson Rd into Beverley, through York, the Lakes and home.
320 kms, 9 mates, no one lost and only got to 32 degrees in the burbs, a great day.
Thanks to B5 for TEC duties and Anthony for leading us Greenhills to The Lakes.
