Dam Checkpoints

A small turn out this morning at Catalano's with an even smaller group going for a short ride. Andrew, DFS and Bozo travelled a BOM Radar guided route that ascended the scarp at Mills Road West and took Chevin Road and Gardiner Road to get to Araluen. A lot of detritus on the roads but the large branches and fallen trees had been cleared. The discussion at breakfast almost jinxed us with numerous close calls with pigeons, doves and galahs that were attracted to the roadside. We hit a COVID Checkpoint near the Puma Service Station on Albany Highway despite not having left the Metropolitan Area. A few tense moments and we were waved through. A party pie at the Pinjarra Bakery in Maddington completed the mini Sunday run. A Passport was stamped as it is likely that we will visit all four outlets.
A pleasant short ride with only light rain. Thanks to Andrew for running as tail end Charlie.
