B5, Robbie, Noel, myself and Eddy met at Ascot Shell and toured gracefully up to Mojos Mundaring. Great to see Eddy back after successful lower back surgery. So successful in fact that he is off on Thursday to his camping spot just south of Coral Bay for at least 6 weeks of R & R. Sounds sweet!
Steve was already enjoying some breakfast as we arrived at Mojos. Shortly afterwards Swampy arrived. So after coffee and nibbles for some it was decided to again make our destination the Red Vault Cafe in Beverley after it was closed on our last visit. Steve and Noel had other plans so it was a group of 5 that headed out of Mundaring. Of note was Dome Mundaring is operational again. But personally I prefer Mojos. But we may alternate perhaps?
Through Stoneville, Chidlow, Wooroloo onto Inkpen and Yarra soon had us on the very pleasant Talbots and into Beverley at about 11:15 am for an early lunch at the now open Red Vault. Several groups of emus in the paddocks on the Talbots. Low twenties, little wind, clouds, beautiful weather to run the Beemers.
Hamburgers and toasties with drinks were the order of the day with discussion ranging from the COVID jab to soft versus hard panniers. An enjoyable session.
Robbie left to head to Pingelly then some dirt road action, that left 4 of us to head to York via the Top Beverley road. Swampy left to visit Northam with the remaining 3 heading via Spencer’s Brook to Baker’s Hill were we parted ways to head home. Eddy went straight down the GEH whilst B5 and I toured around before hitting the GEH near Chidlow.
Thanks to all for another very enjoyable ride and especially Swampy and B5 for TEC duties.
