Yes it was an excellent day for a ride. Started off a little cool then crept up to 27.5 whilst returning to Perth.
Noel joined B5 and I at Shell Ascot, but Noel could not join us for the ride so it was just the two of us heading down the Tonkin to Kelmscott Dome. We thought it might remain with just two but Goldie and Bill joined us at Dome. Initial talks were focused on Collie but a couple of us needed to return home by 3pm so we settled on the Waroona region.
We wound our way along the railway heading south arriving on Hopelands and Corio Rds to skirt Pinjarra and head towards Dwellingup and the Nangas to take us to the Lake Navarino Holiday Park Cafe. Something new and totally acceptable toasties and coffees. Tasty discussions on gall bladder/stone removals.
Viewed the Lake expecting to see ski boats whizzing around but alas not a boat in sight. Back to Nanga Rd and down to Waroona when the joyful group of 4 parted ways. B5 and I took the SWH to get onto the Tonkin and home just on 3 pm, with just on 300km completed.
Thanks guys for a very pleasant tour and especially B5 for the very difficult TEC duties.

Hi Pete, It was a case of travelling South for a ride or visiting Kelly in Toodyay at the Cola Cafe where I had not visited for a fortnight and the Cola Cafe and Kelly won the day!!
And you were correct, The Dome in Mundaring is again open for business but with only a few cars in the car park!!
A beautiful Autumn day for a ride and I did one of my regular runs to the Lakes and onto the Great Southern Highway to York.
From York it was the back highway to Northam which was a good run albeit with a few interruptions for road works along it's 35 km length.
Toodyay as always is a welcome stop when riding the country roads and the townsfolk as usual make one feel welcome and comfortable!!
At first I thought young Kelly was on an RDO but appeared out of the blue after returning from a break. Spent a pleasant 15 minutes learning more about her family history before the crowds started pouring in and she had to return to her duties.
I returned home via Julimar Road and Bullsbrook before running into heavy traffic on the roads through Midland and Tonkin Highway.
Arrived home after a pleasant day out around 3PM!!
