Another cool but dry day for a ride, with ten meeting up at Mojos. There for the ride were Brian, Lefty, DFS, Ross, Peter, Swampy, Wes & Bill, with Chris & Steve only there for the coffee although Chris’s got hijacked so another cup was needed. The majority voted for a longer ride to Greenhill with three jumping ship for Toodyay. After a bit of a staggered start, we regrouped at Mt Helena for a good run out.
A word of caution the tree roots in front of Mojo’s can be a problem for those that park in the wrong position.
The outward leg was via the rat run (RR ) Stoneville to Wooroloo. Luckily, we missed the road closure on Bailup Rd getting to Toodyay Rd without the advertised detour. It was then via Salt Valley back to Toodyay Rd past Hoddy Well. The rebels carried on to Toodyay with the remaining five travelling on via Katrine, the outer suburbs of Northam up to Southern Brook, pausing at Meckering for a refuelling stop.
After Meckering the planned route was along GEH towards Cunderdin, then down Carter-Doonanning (aka Coleman ) Roads. These roads were displayed on my Herma Map and my GPS as sealed all the way to the Goldfields Rd. However, after 11kms it turn to loose gravel so a U-Turn was executed to back track to Meckering and then south via Quellington & Mannavale Roads. Then it was west along the Goldfields Hwy to cut across via Marwick Rd to the Quairading-York Road. A short leg before turning off to the Greenhills Tavern. Cutting off the last planned leg meant we arrived at 12:45 which was only 5 minutes after the original planned arrival time.
When ordering lunch, we were greeted by the new French barmaid. The main choice being fish & chips or steak burger. The main topic of banter being the pudding, the border run and the camp cookoff. After lunch Lefty headed his own way home with the remainder being led out by Peter via Beverley and Talbot.
My round trip distance for the day was 430kms.
Thanks, Peter, for your TEC duties.
Another great day, thanks guy for your good company

Brrr, Cold morning with 0 Celcius riding through Karragullen on my way to meet the mob of geriatrics in Mundaring.
About 9 were in attendance with some hot breakfasts the order of the day for some!!
I was rooted before the ride even started as a stray tree root jumped up and threw me off Elsie as we were leaving Mojo's. Thank you Pete and Wes for your very kind assistance in getting Elsie back on her feet!!

(No damage to either of us!!)
Brian/5 had a route worked out which took us past Toodyay and as I had some business to conduct there, Bill , Wes and me deviated into town for a refreshing brew and hot food.
Nannup Nick joined us about an hour later having to drop off at Auto Classic to replace his old blown battery!!
Discussions around the table ranged from buying and selling experiences on Gumtree to a lively discussion on the dreaded Covid where the two main parties involved agreed to disagree on the subject and it's consequences!! (Very Entertaining)
While were at the Cola Cafe I had the owner to turn on the Gas Heaters as poor young Bill was feeling the cold!!

Sorry Bill could not resist it!!
Eventually Bill and Nick headed off towards Julimar road while Wes and I slabbed it straight back to Perth.
A cold but beautiful sunny day to be out and about on the beemers!!
Thanks all for the company

Thanks to Swampy for posting and B5 for leading and reporting on yesterday’s ride. A chilly start and cold day but a great ride with some new roads. The Beemers run like sewing machines in the cool moist air.
