You were right Peter, My particular mode of transport this morning was repeated 3 x times with Wes, Noel and Scruff also rocking up in tin tops!!

We were however evenly matched with 4 x braving the wet weather to turn up on bikes which including you were also Nannup Nick, DFS and Brian/5.

Once the old group of detritus on 2 wheels were fare welled into an fast arriving dark cloud, The remaining sensible quartet proceeded to order more hot coffee's and settled back under cover and in comfort to hold meaningful conversations until 10AM when I departed for a date with my local Bunnings store in order to pick up some new tap washers.

Once again I imagine Peter and Brian/5 will fill this forum later with their derring doo bike ride and how they successfully battled the elements whilst also abjectly attempting to belittle and deride the group that remained behind!! (Fail)

Now I will pass this over to the B... S... Brigade!!

Peter and Brian left Ascot at 8:00 just after a heavy downpour, hoping it would stay clear. We made the mistake of riding into the rain rather than staying away from it. Luckily we only entered the edge of it, so it only lasted a short while. The roads we awash so we must have missed the worst of it.

Leaving Mojo’s with DFS & Nick we headed across and up to Toodyay. There Nick left us heading for home via Julimar Rd. The remain three carrying on heading north. The planned destination turned out not to have food available as their ceiling in the Café had collapsed, so we carried on further north. The final destination turned out to be Yerecoin. The trip up was enjoyable only having a light splattering of rain. A few crosswind gusts we so strong the little rain we had ran off the visors horizontally. After coffee and toasted sandwiches and refuelling top up we headed for home.

The return trip was across to the New Norcia bypass, then down through Mogumber and Bindoon.
It was then up through Chittering Valley with a stop at Bullsbrook for our farewells, before making our own way home. Most of the ride home was in sunshine with dry roads. There was only a short burst of rain on the Great Eastern bypass.

I was great seeing the countryside alive with new lambs and calves and so green with full creeks and dams.

Thanks Guys
Brian

B5 thanks for the no nonsense 8) ride report, lead and TEC duties. Swampy thank you for your best wishes for the Brightly Smiling Brigade as we toured through our beautiful Wheatbelt  . Even when the winter weather is a little against us it is great to get out with mates on the purring Beemers.
