Pensioners Ride Wednesday 8th Sept!!

Post by Swampy »

Wednesday 8th September looks like the rain will be holding off until the afternoon/evening so I am suggesting this weeks "Pensioners and Others" ride should take place at this time!!

Meet up at Mojo's at the usual time for a coffee and/or breakfast and depart for a ride to a destination to be decided on the day!!

So if you are still capable of throwing a leg, throw it over your BM and join the motley crew for a ride in the country!!

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

As per my face book reply. I'll be at Mojos, but won't be joining you for the ride.
The fire season has arrived.....and we are burning....arrrr ....the smell of smoke....the flames consuming .....the heat.....the sweat.....the pumps running..... as good as a bike ride.

What a beautiful morning to wake up to and it seems the same could be said for a few others as we had another good turn out at Mojo's!

I lobbed up first closely followed by Vic and Ross Ashton. The the rest dribbled in (Old Man Problem) a while later which included, Reuben, DFS, Scruff, Peter, Brian, Eddy and Nick!!

Scruff felt the urge to fire up his local community and to inhale the delightful smell of burning gum leaves!!

Wes decided that Caligiri, our destination for the day was a bridge too far and opted for a solo run to Toodyay!

Ross Ashton esq. and Vic followed the group as far as BullsBrook then went their own way( Should buy a DMax Vic??)

While the rest of group headed into the delightful Chittering Valley to cruise thru to Bindoon where we had a brief comfort stop!!

On the road again to Mogumber before turning east for Caligiri for a welcome break for lunch.

After lunch I left the main group and headed south to return home via Toodyay with Reuben accompanying me to that lovely little town where he pulled in to refuel his bike!!

I made it to the Lakes before having to top up my tank and to drain the other one.

An uneventful journey along Mundaring Weir road saw me idle down the Brookton Highway and home after a fantastic day out cruising the countryside in stunningly beautiful weather!!

Thanks again to Peter for taking the lead and to Brian for choosing our destination and to the rest of the lads for the always good company!!
