All Roads lead to Toodyay!!

Post by Swampy »

A very large turnout at Catalano's this morning with the notable absence of "Bikeless Scruff" who was searching in vain for a Triple Black 2022 RT1250!!

Bozo had other commitments today so was unable to lead a ride!!

However Peter fronted up and proposed a meandering journey to the Cola Cafe in, Yes you guessed it, TOODYAY!!

18 Riders departed from Victoria Park with the odd one dropping out along the way but the majority enjoyed an interesting and varied ride through the hills. Peter can fill in the details as I had my thumb in bum at the rear of the mob and relaxed and enjoyed the journey!!
after another great day out with the club!!

The group managed to obtain some spare tables and chairs and kept the staff very busy filling orders for a while!!

The streets of the town were packed with bikes of all descriptions as my group engaged in an animated and loud discussion on a variety of topics including next Saturday's Weekend Ride to Nannup!!

33C in town so a rather warm group headed home via Julimar Road and Bullsbrook while I took the most direct route home

Thankyou Peter for successfully leading a generally unruly group for most of the way into Toodyay!! (Also Peter, Thank your honey for the Honey, Very much appreciated)

Of rugged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons, I love her jeweled sea.
Her beauty and her terror, the wide brown land for me."

I knew that Swampy had to get his new RS to Toodyay so as the group had not visited there recently we had to go there. So out past the airport onto the Roe H, Toodyay Rd to Campersic, Haddrill, Weir, through Brigadoon and the woop de doos to O’Brien, Clenton, Berry, Toodyay Rd, Bailup, Burma, Coates, onto the GEH. Turned off at Clackline to head to Toodyay via Salt Valley, Sandplain, River and Julimar to arrive in the CCC at the promised 11:00. Place absolutely packed, but we managed to find a couple of adjacent tables to devour our goodies.
Left at midday with the group split into direct home via Toodyay Rd or the group I led on Julimar, Chittering, GNH to home.
Great group with temps reaching 33 in Toodyay and no issues. Thanks to Swampy and Wes assisting with TEC duties.
