A non smoking Sunday Ride
Posted: Sun 07 Nov, 2021 7:07 pm
Three non smokers chose to take a clean air ride this morning,
Wes and Vic joined me on an enjoyable cruise up smoke free Lesmurdie Hill, through the Pickering Valley and onto Mundaring weir road to Mundaring where Wes took the lead through the picturesque back blocks to eventually emerge on Great Eastern Hwy west of Bakers Hill.
The roads were clear as was the atmosphere as we breathed in the fresh fragrant aroma of unburnt gum leaves on our way to Clackline and onto Toodyay Road.
The call in to Toodyay was to farewell young Kelly of the Cola Cafe who has found herself a job at the Local government Tourist Bureau, A step up for a talented socially adept young lady.
However the pigeon had flown the coop a couple of days earlier and was taking a well earned break before starting her new job in a week or two!!
However, as usual the service and food was up to expected standards and as a welcome bonus, Vic shouted me lunch for my birthday. Cheers mate!!
We spent a pleasant hour in good company as we watched the passing parade of both motorcyclists and tourists enjoying another glorious Spring like day.
The refreshed clean air trio then separated to make our individual ways home with Vic headed North on Julimars rd., Wes, straight down Toodyay rd. and me heading home via Clackline, York, Midland and south into Gods own country and home about 1430 hrs.
Another good day spent in good company on magnificent machines!!
