Four Corners Investigation

A solid turn out at Catalano's this morning. Good to see Nev back riding and Jack in good nick.

Ten riders assembled for a ride to a destination beginning with "B". Guy, on his fully aired black Bomber, Rod Rocket Peter, Nannup Nick, Sophie, Brian/5, Kim, Emperor Eddie, Ted, Peter Bee and Bozo only travelled four corners before the wheels fell off the ride. Bozo mistook Kim for tail end Charlie and left the fourth corner unmarked. Kots was quick to identify that three riders had started to create their own devious route and flashed Bozo. With the ride parked up, the three missing riders were spotted and much greater care was taken by the ride leader on subsequent corners.
Not sampling the Pies at the Ampol Foodary at Stratton

Despite the drama, all made it safely to the Stratton Ampol for the run up the scarp, led by Brian/5, on Haddrill Road. An enjoyable run along O'Brien Road was followed by a regather on Berry Road and a disdainful glance from several emus a few metres from the road edge. An energetic run up Bailup and Burma Roads was slowed by a high wide load on Great Eastern Highway that was alleviated by a detour down Swamp Road to the Bakers Hill Bakery. We were joined by Wes and Vic at Bakers Hill for pasties and pies before a run home along Oyston, Ingpen, Vineyard, Werribee and Government Roads to Mount Helena.
Thanks to Kots for his quick thinking at the four corner point of the ride and to Peter Bee and Nannup Nick for running as tail end Charlies.
