Three hours and three dams to Gidgie

A solid showing of airheads at Catalano's this morning. Good to see his Royal Griceness back from his Dryandra discovery sojourn. Also spotted was Yuri on his R1200R. The Prankster was being oblique about the wheels securely fastened inside his sidecar.

Six riders assembled next to an old Honda CL 175 twin to run Russian roulette with the weather. Wightman, Rod Rocket Peter, Water Mark, His Royal Griceness, Nannup Nick and Bozo made emu images as they paraded along Orrong Road before concentrating on the twisties in Canning Mills Road and Soldiers Road to pass the first dam at Churchaman's Brook. A wind through Waterwheel Road and a run up Albany Highway got us to Canning Dam for a discussion on windscreens and headlights. Slow traffic on Mundaring Weir Road meant a deviation onto Fern Road but we still got caught up in slow moving cars. Past our third dam we deviated to Parkerville before a run along O'Brien Road. There has been a lot of publicity about controlling hooning on this road. The City of Swan have erected a set of cameras and a loudspeaker at the intersection of Clenton and Berry Roads (see picture). A run down Reserve Road was followed by a COVID-19 checked pie fest at the Gidgegannup Bakery. With misty rain falling the group split up and headed home.

Thanks to Nannup Nick for running as tail end Charlie and making the group easy to manage.

Thank you Bozo for an imaginative and convoluted odyssey through the local hills. Alex confirmed that the three airhead wheels were just the right ballast weight to negotiate Albany Highway speed humps at 80 kmph, without spinning the spare wheel.

Was Alex just triple punctuated and no one knew?
