Getting away on the Long Weekend

A late start to the assembly of motorcycles outside Catalano's this chilly Sunday morning. Good to see Murray and Mindy back, an appearance by Stoy and a visit by Kim. The Guyarised Black Bomber is going ahead leaps and bounds with it Jonovation with new gaiters being the latest edition. A BSA 3 Wheeler caused much interest when it rattled to a halt opposite from the group.

At Serpentine Dam
Eleven riders and a pillion headed out past Canning Dam to Dwellingup. Stoy, Nannup Nick, Multimedia Mark, Water Mark, Wightman, Murray + Mindy, Rainer, Rod Rocket Peter, Kim, Andrew and Bozo were lucky with the traffic until we hit a horse float, a caravan and a ute that slowed us up. The ute pulled over on the narrow Canning Dam Road and let us enjoy the corners but we idled into Byford behind the Horse Float and crawled up Del Park Road behind the Caravan. Andrew was able to blast past and save us parking at a busy Blue Wren. The discussion was about weather, wine and second hand bikes.
A Hay Truck threatened to give us a slow descent down the hill, but he maintained a good speed and we were only really held up when we hit the foothills. Most opted for a run "up the centre" to get home. Thanks to Wightman for running as tail end Charlie.
