11 riders and a pillion headed out past the airport and through Helena Valley for a sedate run through the Sir John Forrest National Park. Clayton explained that there was a shortage of corners and hills around Geraldton so an effort was made to add in some elevation changes and twisties along the route. Bruce, North of Geraldton Peter, Clayton, Gerry, Max, Guy, Frank, Andrew + Ellie, Rainer, Mark and Bozo pulled up at the Parky for a break before a run along Roland Road, a bit of Toodyay Road and Fernie Road. Serious twisting began on Salt Plain Road and elevation changes were very evident on Drummond Road and Racecourse Road. An enjoyable run along Julimar was followed by the Teatree Road deviation to the Bindoon Bakehaus.

After pies and pizzas and commiserations to Guy on the passing of Tom the ginger cat we ran into Dennis in the carpark on his R80 GS Paris Dakar with a locally fitted sidecar. A former club member, who knew Goldie and Lefty he enquired about the 1000cc conversion. Andrew who had completed the conversion was able to answer his questions and Guy encouraged him to come along to the next tuning day.

A run home via Blue Plains Road and the Chittering Valley with the ride finishing at Bullsbrook. Thanks to Mark for stepping in as tail end Charlie.
A great group on a glorious day for an enjoyable ride
