I was hanging out for a ride on the best BMW ever produced, my lovely RS and with the sun rising over the hills I grabbed the opportunity to get out in the country for a refreshing ride!!
Did I say refreshing??
Rode out of the sunny plains and rode up Brookton Highway to become enveloped in a cold damp fog in Roleystone!!
The temp. was 9c. Rode through to the Lakes with water streaming off my screen, Stopped for a hot coffee and continued on to York waiting in vain for the sun to evaporate the mist and fog, but to no avail!!
Arrived in York Temp. 9.5C
Continued on without stopping in search of the elusive warming sunshine to Northam. Temp. 9.5C. No change in weather (Canola beginning to show slight colour)
Passed through Northam and onto Toodyay Temp 9C. Still no so sun and found the Cola Cafe was closed ( I forgot it is closed every Tuesday)
Stopped at the servo looking for a hot feed and coffee but not before having to race in for a key to the toilet, Did I mention it was cold and damp in town?
Headed for home and miracle of miracles the sun came out at long long last......In Mundaring!! Temp. 12C
Glorious sunshine the rest of the way home after a rather cold damp ride but great to be out on the worlds best bike with heartfelt thanks for it's heated grips and my thermal underwear which battled to keep me warm!!
I guess I should have stayed on the coastal plain??
See you on Saturday folks!!
