10 serene riders left Catalaono's for an outcome similar to the 10 green bottles song but without the accidental fall, even though a few came close on the slippery corners on Haddrill Road.
Rob, Rob, Rod Rocket Peter, Multimedia Mark, Water Mark, AAA Anthony, Dane, Ted, Wightman and Bozo took the Airport route to get to Toodyay Road where a deviation up Haddrill Road and down Campersic Road gave views of kangaroos and the early arrivals of spectators for the Avon Descent finale. By the time we got to Gingers we had lost a Rob but gained a Drew. Only nine serene riders left Gingers to enjoy the sweeping bends of the Lower Chittering Road. At Bindoon we lost Water Mark, another Rob and Ted (briefly) as six serene riders Bathursted their way up Crest Hill Road to the start of a wildflower display (Donkey Orchids, Kangaroo Paws and Leschenaultia). A run down Wells Glover Road got us to the sweeping bends of the Mogumber Road before a turn down Hay Flat road and a stop at Udamung Nature Rerserve (Banded Greenhood pictured). The pies were calling too strongly for any lengthy assessment of flora and the mob rejoined Ted at the Bakehaus. Most took the run down Blue Plains Road before another deviation down Polinelli Road and Jenkin Road for the ride to end at Bullsbrook.
Thanks to Wightman for running as tail end Charlie on a lot of flowing corners despite having half a motor cycle strapped to his back seat.
