A solid turn out at Catalano's reflecting the great riding weather.
Eight mates headed up the scarp past Canning Dam for a ride to Quindanning via Wandering. DKW Ted, Rod Rocket Peter, Rainer, GS Mark, Kenny G, Chris#2, Peter Bee and Bozo quickly got to Canning Dam but hit the traffic on Albany Highway.
North Bannister was a ghost roadhouse so we pushed on for a break at Wandering where Bozo got the dreaded blank screen and no noise on ignition. The wisdom of the crowd soon diagnosed a loose battery connection and all were underway enjoying the sweeping bends to Crossman and Boddington. A lot of roadworks will mean burning the midnight oil for those club members who keep their bikes in showroom condition.
The complexities of getting 95 RON in Boddington were successfully traversed before a flowing run to Quindanning. Whilst waiting for the meals the shortage of chips (fried), Bodgers (skilled wood tradesmen), podgers (pointy ended spanners used by riggers), twithching tools and work tickets were discussed.
We were held up on the Lower Hotham Road by multiple potholes and a 4WD that crossed to the wrong side of the road each time we attempted to pass. The ride ended at Dwellingup as the group took the South West Highway for a quick run home.
Thanks to Peter Bee for running as last in succession and for a group that made it easy to have an enjoyable ride.

There is a great bakery at Riverside Roadhouse and fuel. It is located about two kilometres north after turning left onto Albany Highway from Boddington or a few hundred metres if you are on Bannister road, turn right.
